About Dan

I’ve spent most of my career on a microphone or behind a DJ booth.

I’m a Colorado native, born in Colorado Springs, and I’ve been DJing weddings and events for more than 20 years. I’m also an on-air personality and Program Director at 99.5 The Mountain in Denver. On top of that, I program 98.9 The Buzz in Rochester, I’m on 96.5 WCMF, and I host the Classic Hits afternoon show for Local Radio Networks, heard on stations all over the country. You can find more about my radio career at danhardee.com.

Radio has taught me how to work from a clock, hit a cue, read an audience, recover when something changes at the last second and sound natural while doing it. Outside the studio, I’ve emceed local events, station events and live programs where somebody has to keep a crowd informed, comfortable and moving.

That experience carries straight into your event. I’m comfortable with names, timelines, sponsor copy, introductions, last-minute changes and a live microphone. I know when a room needs energy, when it needs direction and when it just needs me to get out of the way.

Why that matters at your event

20+ Years

Weddings, private parties and live events. I’ve had enough nights go exactly to plan — and enough that didn’t — to know how to handle both.

Professional Broadcaster

Live radio means timing, clear communication, improvising under pressure and being comfortable on a microphone every single day.

Event Emcee

Introductions, sponsor reads, awards, crowd direction, stage hosting and keeping a live program moving without making it feel stiff.

The point isn’t that I’ve been doing this a long time. The point is that when your timeline changes, a speaker is late, a name gets added, the room needs a reset or somebody hands me a microphone with thirty seconds of notice, I’m comfortable.

What clients notice

Easy to reach. Prepared when I arrive. Comfortable in the room.

Those are the things that come up again and again in my reviews. The music matters, but so does everything that happens around it.
