If there are songs or eras that mean something to your group, I want to know. Those are often the things people remember most.

These rooms can be all over the map age-wise. I’ll keep the pace moving and make sure the music works for more than one corner of the room.
School events
Clean music, good sound and somebody paying attention to the room, the schedule and what the school actually asked for.
Backyard + venue parties
Backyard or ballroom, the basics are the same: good sound, the right music and one less thing for you to worry about.

How I approach it
I want to know who’s in the room.
What do you listen to? What does the guest of honor love? What songs are going to get everybody together? That gives me a real starting point, and then I adjust once I see what people are responding to.
